Booking from an AI app
When you ask ChatGPT, Claude or another AI app to find and book a home service shop on HandledIQ, these terms and this privacy notice apply. HandledIQ connects your AI app to the shop. The shop does the work.
How it works
- Your AI app asks HandledIQ for shops near your ZIP code that do what you need. Each shop answers with its own book price, all in, and its real open times. Up to 3 shops come back, soonest first.
- When you pick a price and a time, the shop holds that time for 10 minutes and texts your mobile one link. You book by opening that link, typing your street address and tapping Book. Your AI app cannot book for you.
- “It wasn’t me” on that page frees the time, and that shop will not text your number for an AI app again for 30 days.
- You pay the shop after the work. Nothing is paid in the chat, and HandledIQ adds no fee to your price.
- You can cancel free within 3 days of booking, before the visit, from the shop’s page or by asking your AI app. After that, call the shop.
Help
- No text came: check the mobile number you gave your AI app. If you once replied STOP to that shop, reply START, then hold the time again.
- The hold ran out: a time is held for 10 minutes. Ask your AI app for the shop’s times again and hold a new one.
- The text wasn’t for you: tap “It wasn’t me” on its page. The time is freed and nothing is booked.
- To move or cancel a visit: ask your AI app, or open the link in the shop’s text.
- Anything else: email [email protected] with the shop’s name and the day you booked.
Terms
- The shop you book does the work. It sets the price, keeps the appointment and stands behind its own guarantee. HandledIQ runs the booking and is not a party to the work.
- Book only for a home you live in or are allowed to book for, with your own mobile number.
- Do not use it to text people who did not ask, or to hold times you do not mean to book. Each number gets at most 3 of these texts a day, and each shop holds at most 30 times an hour.
- Open times change. A time is yours once you tap Book. The shop holds a time for 10 minutes.
- HandledIQ is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, HandledIQ is not liable for a shop’s work or for indirect damages. The law and courts in section 13 of the Terms of Service apply.
What HandledIQ shares
What your AI app sends HandledIQ
- What you need, your ZIP code, the first day that works and the most you want to pay, when you give them, and the AI app’s own name, which goes in the shop’s text.
- When you choose to hold a time: your name and mobile number.
- Nothing else from your chat. HandledIQ never asks your AI app for your conversation, and never asks it for your street address.
What you type on the shop’s page
- Your street address and unit, when you tap Book.
Who receives it
- Each shop HandledIQ asks for a price keeps that ask in its records: what you need, your ZIP code and the AI app’s name.
- Only the shop you hold a time with gets your name and mobile, and your street once you book. No other shop sees them.
- The shop’s text goes through Telnyx (see Subprocessors). Reply STOP to stop texts from that shop.
- HandledIQ sends your AI app the shops’ names, prices, open times and service records, and where your booking stands. Your AI app’s own privacy policy covers what it does with them.
How long HandledIQ keeps it
- A price ask and its booking are part of the shop’s records. HandledIQ keeps them while the shop’s account is open, so the shop has its full history. When the shop closes its account, HandledIQ deletes them, except what the law requires it to keep, such as records of consent to texts.
Your choices
- To see, correct or delete what an AI app sent about you, ask the shop or email [email protected]. We help you get it done.
- HandledIQ does not sell it, does not use it for advertising, and does not share it with other shops.
- HandledIQ is not meant for children under 13.
The full Privacy Policy covers everything else HandledIQ keeps. Questions: [email protected].
